The Lipka folklore group was found in the year of 2007 in Pardubice, in the very heart of the Czech Republic. Presently, the group consists of about 25 keen dancers and musicians. Already in the first two years of its existence, Lipka has not only brought itself to the notice of the audience from Pardubice and surroundings, but also has had performances on festivals in several parts of the whole country.

The major aims of the group are to keep and reproduce folk traditions and customs and, at the same time, to make folklore interesting and available for the wide audience. In the group's varied repertoire, represented mainly by songs and dances from the East of Bohemia, there are scenic performances, chamber dances and, last but not least, independent displays of musicians and singers.
In addition to the traditional annual concerts, Lipka organizes the so called "dance houses", i.e. a cycle of folk dances for the wide public. At these events, the participants are taught dance in the most natural way – by means of play and entertainment.
